Fluid bike accessories are rubbish

In my experience, all Fluid bike accessories are absolute rubbish. I
bought a bike tyre pump which I had to return because it was faulty. Got
a replacement one (I would have preferred money back but the sales
assistant was very insistent on replacement), which I don't use as it's
impossible to get onto the valves without a huge amount of effort. In my
opinion, fluid bike tyre hand pumps are only good if your tyre is
entirely flat.

My Fluid bike computer died on me a few days ago too. It's only about 6
weeks old and I've done just over 350km on it. It just refuses to work,
except for the clock. I replaced the battery. Still no luck and another
out of pocket expense. I've just phoned the shop which has asked me to
bring it in to see what the problem is. Another trip out there and back
(remember the earlier one with my bike tyre pump!). They'll insist on
replacing it for me. I want money back this time. I think I might take
out the hand pump too. Piece of rubbish it is.

Things like this really put a sour taste in my mouth. You pay good money
expecting something to work, but you just get rubbishy inferior goods.

Fuel My "Mic Me Baby!" Project

In times gone by, the public appreciated and supported arts, culture and music. Rocket Hub has just started a new online movement to do the same in the 21st century.

I need a new studio condensor mic. Ideally, I would have preferred to fund a world tour, but I realised that may have been a tad ambitious for my first fueling! Ha ha! People have downloaded over $10000 worth of my music in the form of mp3s in the past 5 years for free. Now I'm asking for just a little in return, and for your fueling of my project, you'll get some great rewards from me. Check out the Mic Me Baby! project here, and think about fuelling me a couple of bucks. All it will take is another 98 people adding $2 worth of fuel, and I'm there.

Oh, but there's a time limit. I have another 58 days to make it happen. If I don't reach my target, all your fuel is refunded. If I make my target, your reward from me will be sent your way. Check out the rewards per fueling on the link above too. The more you fuel, the better the reward.

An Aussie Apple A Day

We don't manufacture much in Australia anymore. Many of our well known brands are now owned by overseas companies or are made in China.

What we still have is an abundance of fresh, local produce. I think, the best in the world. Yet, why is it that we have opened the doors to apples grown in China?

Australians, if you value our lifestyle, quality of fresh produce and the hard working people on the land, please buy Australian fresh produce. It's the best quality, it's seasonal, and you're supporting Australia and Australians prosperity. By supporting imported fruit from China, you're supporting inferior product and the continuation of cheap third world labour.

If you have never done so, I'd suggest visiting an orchard in Tasmania or Stanthorpe, Qld where you can see the fruit growing on the trees and you can see and talk to the people who grow our fruit.

Launch fizzle

I should say something about my Planets Aligned album launch that hasn't
quite happened. Unfortunately, it would seem that the planets have
indeed not aligned on getting my launch happening. Oh well - I can
always relaunch. Meatloaf rode a wave with his Bat Out Of Hell album for
5 years so I guess there's always hope. It didn't quite come together
for my EP, "I'm Alive" back in 2006 either. Maybe the next album will be
the hat trick with a mother of all album launches! Three's a charm. Ha!
