In Every Dream Home A Heartache

This has been a very busy past week as I've been working to a rather unforeseen deadline. An opportunity to prepare and submit my own version of Roxy Music's "In Every Dream Home A Hearthache" arose and there was no chance of my refusing this challenge! It's been an exciting week concocting my own version of this song and I think what I've come up with is a fitting tribute to the original. Unfortunately, my mother is horrified at the thought of her daughter singing about a blow up doll, but you can't please everyone.

Now, whether or not the song will be included on this American three cd set tribute is another matter. I was given the brief of dark and powerful. I think I've achieved this, but taste is taste and one person's delight is another's disdain.

Shall keep my fingers crossed for inclusion, as it will close the first CD of the tribute trilogy and it would be fantastic to reach out to the Roxy Music fans worldwide in this forum and particularly, performing such a powerful and slightly disturbing song - a favourite of many Roxy Music fans. I will let you know how I go!

PS. In case you didn't know, my greatest inspiration is Bryan Ferry (all eras; early 70s to current) so this has been a real thrill for me so far.
